After fuelling working dogs for over 50 years, we know that dogs come in all shapes and sizes, but they all share the same work ethic. They are loyal, by our side, always performing and always getting the job done.
We believe all the hard work, determination and training they have put in over the last 12 months should not go unnoticed, that’s why we now have our very own official annual day: Skinner’s Working Dog Day.
What is Skinner’s Working Dog Day?
For one day each year, join the team at Skinner’s and our friends at Sporting Saint and Gundog Journal to celebrate the working dogs of the UK.
This could be your loyal gundog, therapy dog, guide dog, police dog – the list goes on!
When is Skinner’s Working Dog Day?
This annual event is held on the iconic 12th August, which also marks the official launch of the season.
Will your dog be crowned our first Skinner’s Working Dog Of The Year?
To enter simply submit one photo and in 100 words, tell us why your dog should be this year’s winner.
Entries must be in by midnight on 9th August.
We will have the tricky job of shortlisting all your submissions down to just five exceptional dogs.
On the 11th of August, we will hand the shortlist over to the public to vote for the winner on our Facebook page.
The winner will be announced on Working Dog Day.
